The Mental Mentor is a tool developed to help people start a conversation or share their thoughts and feelings when experiencing trauma or difficult times that affect their mental health. This tool is based on personal experience through PTSD, as an ex-police officer to help others.

HOW IT WORKS

The Mental Mentor is a safe space to ‘start your conversation’ or just get off your chest events, emotions, or difficult times in private. This ‘conversation’ with The Mental Mentor is recorded to a calendar.

You start the conversation by recording how you are feeling in that moment, then record what these thoughts or feelings are connected to and the specific aspects of your thoughts and mental wellbeing. A page is then provided to record exactly what is on your mind, or difficulties you are experiencing.

STARTING THE POSITIVE MINDSET

The most important part is ending on a positive note. The power of a mindset that is positive is significant, and finding the positive aspects in your day and whats around you can make a shift in your overall outlook, behaviour, actions and vocabulary.

CALENDAR AND SHARING

The Calendar and Manage sections of the Mental Mentor, allows you to reflect at any time on previous days and this may assist to reflect on patterns of topics, reactions, and thoughts that you previously didnt recognise.

You can decide to share your conversations with whom you choose to in your own time.
